The Kienaja Sami Hut is 63.5 km north-west of Rovaniemi, near the Kolari municipality border by Kienajajoki, or Kienaja River.
It is log-built and spacious, standing on a small hill near the riverbank. Inside, it features a fireplace and benches; outside, an outhouse, woodshed and campfire site.
Directions: drive 54.3 km out of Rovaniemi along Kittiläntie; turn left on Marrasjärventie; drive 14.3 km; turn right on Haarainvaarantie; drive 11.4 km; on foot, take the trail to the left; walk 330 m to an intersection; turn left on the snowmobile trail; walk 270 m to the hut on the riverbank.
